I picked the MBA program here at McNeese because I graduated right at the height of COVID, and I didn't quite know if I was ready to go out into the workplace yet. And so getting my MBA, I was able to sort of put a pause on that and realize, sort of what I'm good at what I'm not good at. And the MBA program really helped me structure the idea that I love marketing and business. McNeese State University Graduate School offers a variety of programs ranging from nursing, business, to engineering, which I myself am a student in the engineering graduate program. So, I decided to pursue a master's degree in Chemical Engineering, so that I could hopefully continue on my hopes of becoming a PhD student. Because I'd worked with the faculty in undergrad, and I had gotten to know them, and I had known the work that they're working on-- I was very interested in at least starting my journey towards that goal with a master's degree here McNeese State University. I would tell people that are interested in getting a graduate degree here at McNeese that for the MBA classes, in particular, they're hybrid. So whenever we first went to class, they said, "All of this is going to be online, but you can come in in-person if you'd like to get a little bit more information, or just see the professor face-to-face." I prefer the face-to-face classes, but a lot of the material and curriculum is also online, so you get a bit of both. I would recommend to anybody wanting to pursue a graduate program here at McNeese State University to reach out to the faculty and look at all the thesis and non-thesis options that are available. Faculty are very responsive to students and definitely sit down with you and have a greater discussion about all the options that are available.
